Cluster beans delight
Cluster beans are a source of proteins and dietary fibres and are said to help regulate glucose levels. All that health talk aside, these can also be added to your table as a tasty vegetable. Our reader and author Asha S Philar shows you how to make this simple Cluster Beans sabji with tamarind, coconut and chillies. Cluster Beans Delight/Mitke Sanga Thikshe

Cluster beans, cut into small pieces: 250 gms
Mustard seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Oil for seasoning: 2 teaspoon
Make a paste with the following:
Coconut, grated: 3 tablespoons
Red chillies: 4
Tamarind paste: 1 teaspoon (you can also substitute with 1 teaspoon aamchur powder)
Fenugreek seeds: 1/4 teaspoon
Mustard seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
A pinch of asafetida.
Roast all seeds and grind with other ingredients to make a smooth paste.
Fry the chopped cluster beans in little oil till it changes colour.
Sprinkle salt and a little water and cook over low flame till dry and soft.
Once cooked, add the roasted masala paste and stir. Season the dish to your taste and enjoy the dish!
